<p>Is it a bad thing if all 3 of my essays talk about what has influenced me in wanting to become a teacher. For the Common App personal statement I wrote about how my mom has influenced me, the extracurricular one is mostly about my experiences being in the school newspaper but I mention how helping the staff writers with their writing has shown me that I seriously want to be an English teacher and then I mention in a supplement how I want to be a teacher to change peoples minds.</p>
<p>It depends on the person. If you think you have communicated yourself well through writing about the similar topic each time, then it should be fine. Again it’s a personal judgment, so it’s hard to say, but just make sure you look over them to make sure you feel you are well expressed.</p>
