If I do something creative for the ten dollar essay, say a video, and then write a brief essay about my favorite course, wouldn’t johns hopkins not get a sense of my writing skills? should I just write a normal essay for the ten dollar essay then?

how boring

if u want creativity as well as good writing, do the common app, that way, u have one long essay, 2 short ones, and a video that u can send it

just to clarify – the adcoms at Hopkins do not really review your essays as samples of your writing skills. they can get that from your english grades. the essay questions are specific and the content of your answers matters much more.

i always say be creative, be original, and be daring.

will they be offended if i send back a counterfeit 10 dollar bill with my pic on it?

…what purpose does that serve?
and it doesnt answer the question theyre asking

oh no, it has something to do with my essay, it’s just a part of it… but it might seem sort of ridiculous?

we won’t understand the purpose of it unless you tell us what your essay is about…so we cant tell you if its ridiculous or not.

i’ll pm you later, way too tired right now

“offended” - NO. “confused” - possibly.
if the $10 bill works with your essay then do it - but make sure the connection is clear

what if you do something outlandish… liek somethign that is not possible?
