BU seems like a cool place even if I’ve already been accepted to a college 7 spots “better” than it (Tulane). But BU is a really good school for sciences and I’m interested in going to it but the $$$ is keeping me from applying. Here are my stats and do you guys think I could get a good $$$ offer?

Without SAT scores, it is impossible to even begin estimating. However, I had similar stats to yours when I applied. Very similar. I ended up receiving the Dean’s Scolarship of 10K a year, which was very nice. BU gives out good money to those who deserve it. Good luck!

There’s not a doubt in my mind that BU is a better school than Tulane and my RA is a Tulane grad.

By saying it is seven spots higher, I assume you are looking at those rediculous US News rankings, which mean close to nothing. I would not advise any HS student or college applicant to rely too heavily on those for anything more than quick reference. Btw, I have a cousin at Tulane and have visited numerous times. BU is better in almost all areas, depending on what you want to study.

Tulane wins for architecture and that’s about it.

I think you have a good chance of a merit schlarship. Is your GPA w or UW?

W. 3.65ish UW.

Hi Boston - what do you know about Tulane and architecture? I also applied to Northeastern and Catholic.

I know that this is thread crapping and you should either make your own thread or PM me.

you’ll probably get the 10k dean’s scholarship
i had almost the exact same stats as you
about 3.8 gpa // 2200 sats (~ 32act i think?)
