Ethical dilemma

I applied to two MBA programs, one of which has already accepted me. They been squeezing me for an answer and told me that they would give away my seat to a wait-listed person if I don’t respond by the May 30th (this coming Wednesday) deadline. The other school, which is my first choice, cannot guarantee an answer until mid-June. So, if I don’t hear from them by Wednesday, I will have to say “yes” to the first school so that I don’t lose out on both offers.

Here’s my dilemma: What if I were to say “yes” to the school that has accepted me and then renege on the offer in the event I’m accepted to my first choice school? I don’t want to start my MBA career by making enemies, but I feel I have little choice since they will not grant me an extension.

What do you suggest?

Call your first choice school and tell them the situation. Maybe they can give you a “prediction” in advance.
