Ethics: Transcript Omission

I have done 11 IGCSE while the general requirement for universities is 5. Given that I have more then the requirement, I have omitted 2 scores from my transcript which weren’t satisfactory. Is doing so ethically wrong? If so, do you have any advice of how I could correct this? Can I simply contact them stating that 2 scores are missing without elaborating, or should I explicitly say that I didn’t want these 2 scores to affect my application and apologize to them? And how do you think they will react?

IF they didn’t require all scores to be reported, then no, I don’t think it’s unethical. You did as they asked; I’m sure they know some students take more and leave off the worst ones. However, if all scores were requested, then yes, leaving two out would be wrong and should be corrected immediately.

Honestly I’m not sure, they generally just state the requirements (ie how many IGCSE) but dont state the transcript requirements and what is expected (so i guess legally there is no issue). But I have decided to give these 2 score as I would feel guilty getting admitted like this, do you have any suggestion of how I could inform them about this? I mean, I could just state that there are 2 missing scores without elaborating, or I could apologize and explain everything. Doing the first is obviously safer for my application, but is it unethical since I would not paying the price of my mistakes?
