EUD course confusion

i’m an EUD student and i was a bit confused about the courses to take. i’ve just finished my IB, and i’ll get credit for chem 1A. i’m planning to go into EECS, most probably, but i was confused about the following:

-math 1A is the most obvious choice for first math course. the problem is that i know i’ll be repeating most, if not all, of the material. the same problem applies to math 1b. however, for math HL, i don’t get any course satisfactions, although i get 5.3 units of freshman-level work.
two questions :
–> what can i use this credit for - to skip other courses (eg math 1A) or just to complete fewer units towards the BSc. degree?
–> is there any way i can skip the course altogether and go straight to math 53, despite not having satisfied the two pre-requisites?

-for the physics 7A series, is there any point/benefit in taking the Honors series (eg much more challenging classes) or does it actually go against you (for engineering students) by focusing more on theory? and, although i’m unlikely to take math 53 in the first semester, does the same apply (as for H7A,B,C) to H53, H54?

-which of the following is the best humanities course, depending on your personal experience, to satisfy the first half of the reading and composition requirement :
English R1A/N1A
College Writing R4A
Comparative Literature R1A/H1A/R2A/N1A
French R1A
Film Studies R1A

-finally, any recommendations for satisfying the AC reqt from the following:
60AC Topics in the Literature of American Cultures
UGBA 39AC
Env. science and policy mgmt. 50AC
History 7A or 7B OR 16AC
Undergrad Interdisciplinary Studies 20AC
(OR any other interesting class that you recommend from personal experience)

would appreciate any advice - thanks in advance.
