<p>I am wondering if anyone knows how good the European University Institute is in Sociology (and Political Science). They claim themselves that they are best in Europe in political science, and a preferred over e.g. Oxford. The institute is fairly famous in Europe, and highly regarded I think, but what about in the US? Do people in academia (social science) know about this institute, and how well is it regarded.
I am thinking of transferring to EUI from a less known European University, in order to increase my opportunities of an international career in academia (preferably in the US in the long run) after getting my PhD, but I don’t know if it’s worth delaying my grad period due to this.
