Does anyone here watch it? I completely ignored this year’s contest, but I watched the various entries today, and they weren’t so bad! One or two were actually close to amazing.

My brother watched it and tried to get me to watch it too.

Oooh, we love it in Russia. But I didn’t have time this year, fill me in on who’s good. Hahaha, I sorta remember who we sent from Russia but not really.

Most of the songs absolutely sucked. The Greek entry was embarrassingly corny, and yet it was a favorite among many.

The only one I liked was Estonia’s entry, and even then, I really only liked the beginning.

I didn’t wantch it this year, but I saw the winner’s entry and I honestly do not understand why he won (btw it was guy from Norway with a song “fairytale”)

Russia sent the Ukrainian singer Anastasia Prikhodko who sang “Mamo.” It ended up getting the 11th place, but I thought it was very very very good.

The Greek entry, performed by Sakis Rouvas, was like a gay disco night.

Estonia was cool.

France - Patricia Kaas - “Et S’il Fallait Le Faire”

UK - Jade Ewen - “It’s My Time”

Iceland - Yohanna - “Is It True?”

I watched it on a whim this year…wow, Europe…Norway, seriously? I liked Estonia’s too

I liked Estonia’s song too (well, I am from Estonia ;p). It should have had more power to it but Estonians don’t really know how to make a song effective on stage ;p But I’m glad it got a better place than the Greek song which everybody thought would win…
Weirdly, I thought that German song was good, there was something different about it (yes, it would still be good if Dita von Teese wouldn’t have been there)
And I’m completely satisfied with the first place going to Norway.
Overall it was a very strong competition and almost all songs were okay.

I loved Island’s song. Also, I really liked Norway and Moldova (well, I guess I’m a bit subjective… being from Moldova myself
).
