<li>How I played piano for lesbian wedding, and got sad about one of the lady’s mom not being there. As a straight-in-question, it made me realize how important family is to me, and how I need to be honest with my parents on my sexuality lol</li>
<li>For hopkins $10 essay, I wrote about how I was going to buy previewed movie, and watch it with my dad cuz I’ve never done that in my life. I have had really bad, strict relationship with my dad,and I want to work things out before I go to college.</li>
<li>How I came to US three years ago, and had hard time learning English from scratch (ESOL days… -_-). Overcoming the cultural/language barrier was hard, along with great deal of pressure from my parents whom also didn’t speak a word of English. </li>
<li>About founding a county-wide Gang prevention program. Currently working with county gov/police force to work with local K-12 schools about gang prevention. I started this cuz I was asked to join a gang before, and it was all because I was in a vulnerable position, being unable to speak English and all.</li>
<li>How US/VA history class was my favorite class cuz it made me realize how much I love politics, and gave me confidence to speak up for what I believe in.</li>
<li>An essay about Handmaid’s Tale, my favorite book that helped me to define feminism in my own way.</li>
