Still trying to get a handle on all of the recruiting rules. Does it make sense to send coaches your HS schedule or are the coaches unable to evaluate juniors off campus at non-tournament events?

I thought most recruiting for field sports like soccer, lax, football etc. was being done these days off game video on the internet as well as actual tournaments and clinics to let coaches meet players in the flesh.

I didn’t even know that coaches visit actual HS games anymore.

Most will not recruit from video but you are correct that they do not go to high school games for soccer. Athletes are seen at high level tourneys and at camps.

can you please share a list of tourneys where soccer coaches attend?

^ coaches of premier teams should have this info and be actively pursuing these tournies (if they have a competitive team).

Nationals definitely has university soccer coaches. Any big tourney will have a selection of college coaches (some may only be local though if it is a smaller/regional tourney)

You might be able to get a local college coach to attend a HS game to watch a particular player by sending links to videos and the schedule, but don’t expect college coaches to just show up at HS games looking for players.

Where you need to go to be seen depends upon the division you want to play in and where you are located. For a local D III coach going to a regional tournament may be enough. For D I you would need to go to something that attracts more national competition. Disney is a big one, along with Jefferson Cup, CASL and PDA on the east coast, Surf Cup on the west coast. Soccer America sends out e-mails that lists all of the major tournaments.
