Ever heard of Dream Scholars Foundation

A person from this organization called our house today and H answered. I wasn’t there so I don’t know how the conversation went.

What do they do? And are they legit?

There’s a website. When I go there, it’s unclear to me whether they are a charity or test prep service. I’m kinda suspicious because they have a refund policy for donations.

Dont trust these people. I feel for it because my daughter was looking for test prep courses and this caller said they were responding to inquiries by my daughter (by name). Gave them a credit card and found out later that my kid never heard or talked to them.

Looked them up on-line and was horrified at the BBB report and other victim reviews. Immediately called multiple times to cancel and only get machine with promise to call back in 24 hours. No call. I read somewhere the product they are providing is a Kaplan study series that is worth about $50 and the $175 they are asking for is called a “donation” on their website. Never heard the word “donation” in the call or at least it was extremely unclear. The marketer was very good at repeating info and unclear conditions around their 30-day money back guarantee. Never said anything about the restocking fee or the return code you had to have to send the product back.

On top of that you offer a monthly subscription and scholarship opportunities. I declined it all and got an acknowledgment of such from the marketer…not likely to be honored. Canceled my credit card immediately.

Please let me be the only idiot here…they call, tell them to f-off and slam the phone down hard. They just want your “donation”.
