Ever seen a college FB jersey with the same name on the front & back?

I suppose there could have been a Rice who played at Rice. A Duke at Duke? Surely there’s been a Washington at Washington.

Sure enough :stuck_out_tongue: :

Davidson…

I was just watching “Raising Arizona” the other night and noticed at the very end where Hi is imagining the future he sees Nathan Arizona playing for Arizona and he had same name on the front and back of the jersey. I’ve seen that movie a dozen times, but I think that’s the first time it clicked with me. Funny to see this posting then today! :)

I wouldn’t be surprised if a Brown has played at Brown, a Williams at Williams, possibly a Hamilton at Hamilton, and (in some sport other than football) a Smith at Smith, but I don’t know it for a fact.

I think it’s even funnier when you see two football players standing next to each other and their last names make a funny phrase.

I’ve seen Smelley standing next to Bottoms.

Okay, but the question is how many of those teams actually put their names on the back of the jerseys? Probably depends on the size of the school…

Funny this thread was started,as I just heard on sports radio, that Joe Montana’s son, is leaving Notre dame for…wait for it…University of Montana…

I believe that was the whole reason for the original post.

Didn’t even see the op’s 1st sentence, it is in light blue type and my laptop monitor is having issues, lol…now logged in on Ipad, I see it…
