Every parent's worst nightmare...

My heart breaks for the family of this bright young man.

Very sad. My heart also breaks for his family and friends.

I can imagine his parents “getting the call” that we all dread and fear. I just hate that.

What do we tell our children when they go away to college? Don’t drink too much? I feel like they don’t listen to me, and they think they know their limits. This is so sad…

It was only a matter of time before one of these hit home…apparently an amazing kid according to my daughter’s friends…

Condolences to the Glenn family and all of Everett’s friends grieving around the country…

Honor his memory by treating others the way he did…

What upsets me the most is the young adult mindset of “It can’t happen to me !” Always sad. I work in the Ped. ED and see this sort of thing often , tragedies that could have been avoided .

I see this was his 19th birthday. I wondered if this was the pernicious “tradition” of drinking 21 shots on your 21st birthday–it could be something similar.

Where were his friends? Those are the ones who should be ashamed.
