Btw I took the most APs my school has to offer for each year. I am a year ahead in Spanish, so I won’t have a language senior year. Will this harm me in college applications if I take ap computer science instead?

I really want to go into computer engineering or aerospace engineering. (Why I chose astronomy for my cosmos academic summer camp) I found this great summer internship at NASA that I hope I get into. I work really hard and am super passionate about my extracurriculars, especially music. My dream schools are UC Berkley and MIT. Yes I know MIT is a longshot, but I think its worth a shot. Do you think I can make it?

Which UCs can I make and do I have a shot at any Ivys? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS

If these affect my chances: I’m Chinese, straight, middle income, both parents have masters in engineering, California resident, born in USA but my parents are from china

Your academics appear to look good (You did not post your overall GPA). Your SAT is outstanding and pretty competitive. However, your EC’s are lacking especially for the IVY’s. You want to major in computer engineering but your EC’s kinda point a different direction. That is why for STEM based colleges, you need some sort of STEM related EC’s.

I think you have a good shot at UCLA and below. UCB is kinda a reach unless you write outstanding essays.

OP’s SAT score is projected, for those wanting to chance more accurately.

If you want engineering, where are the math-sci activities, other than a COSMOS summer?

It won’t harm you to take AP CS, but the lack of related experiences will. You need to research what your target colleges are looking for.

Also, the Chinese SAT2 must be projected, since OP says on another thread it’ll be taken in November. Sheesh.
