But let me clarify that my “prestigious, private, American school” has the worst reputation of any school in Alexandria - One that was largely due to it’s offeing the American curriculum - and seems to enjoy that reputation and tries to make it even worse by giving us the majority of the year off. iF I were in any real school, this wouldn’t be the case.</p>

<p>um…absenteism (I hate that word) in my school is not tolerated. 6 days of absenteism per quarter gets you disqualified from the exams (but that’s a new rule).</p>
<p>That sucks stuck. Come back to America and go to one of our great public schools. If you don’t get shot, you can go to college without paying for high school.</p>

<p>well, I think I have it better here. Because I’ll pay for three years of high school and I’ll get a free college education. (not based on grades, athletic achievment or extra curricular activities - all levels of public government education here are free)</p>

<p>Attendance Policy in my school—
IN a semester, if a student is absent for more than 6 days whether excused or unexcused s/he MUST file an appeal to attend Saturday schools. If a student doesn’t appeal and doesn’t attend Saturday schools, s/he will not get a passing grade in any subject!!! OMG! Ain’t that stupid?</p>
