Ex-militant asking a question

Just an inquiry, how does being an ex-militant affect one’s chances in the admission process, especially elites schools such as the ivy leagues. Assuming ceteris paribus of course.

Militant for what?
If it’s the KKK or a terrorist organization or a group that committed crimes against humanity (nazi, khmer rouge…) or anything violent like operation rescue, it would greatly affect the admission process.
If it’s purely political like a political party (even with radical views as long as it doesn’t promote violence and/or hatred) or a recognized organization, it wouldn’t affect it.

Why would they know.

P.S. are you confusing militant for military.

Yeah. My bad ahaha!

militant means a person engaged for a cause generally involving violent action.

If you’re confusing with military, and the question is “ex military asking a question”, then:
1° it’s illegal to discriminate against veterans in any way
2° some universities have preferential programs and you may have access to special scholarships (yellow ribbon program).
