exam vs

are there a lot of papers or more exams??–and—how are the exams, are they hard, do people complain about them a lot?

Each professor runs their class differently. If there is a specific class you want to know about you can get on the NEU website and download the syllabus from that teacher for that class.

Its just like in high school. In a particular class, there are some hard tests, some easy tests. Some tough paper topics, some easy paper topics. Overall, there are some professors who give a lot of hard tests and there are some who give a lot of easy tests. It all depends on your strengths, your major, your classes, etc.

There are not a lot of papers in engineering, but there are in criminal justice. There are a lot of quizzes/exams in engineering that can be difficult. Again, it all depends. In college writing, your whole grade is determined by 4 essays. In Calc III, your grade comes from weekly quizzes, homeworks, labs, tests, and final exam. You’ll find in almost any math/science class, you have one quiz each week and a test maybe every three or four weeks depending on if there is a midterm. My calc II class grade was determined by the midterm, final, and quizzes.
