I’m already studying at an university, but Excelsior Colleges offers degrees which seems quite interesting to me, for e.g almost 95% of the credits can be transferred. I already have significant amount of coursework at my current unv, so basically I can transfer most of my credits.

But here’s the thing, how credible Excelsior College really is ?
(I know its been accredited by the same board that accredits Princeton)

I’ll be looking for a job immediately after graduating from Excelsior, so how much worthy is it ?

There aren’t many posts that mention Excelsior here, so if you just run a search, chances are you should be able to read through them quickly to see what various people have had to say about it. As for job placement, that is a question that you should ask the counselors at Excelsior. It is my impression that many people who complete their degrees through Excelsior are already working, and are studying part time.

I may be wrong, but isn’t Excelsior the all distance learning arm of SUNY? I’ve only come across them when looking for online classes for my kids to take when they had schedule conflicts. Not sure they have a physical campus however my kids have been pretty happy with the online classes they’ve taken from other SUNY schools, though they usually involve more reading and assignments than a regular class.

My main question was what’s the basic reaction that ppl show when they hear about Excelsior College ?
I know most of online colleges aren’t taken as good quality education compared to the even bad brick & mortar colleges. But I have heard that the Big Three i.e. Excelsior, Charter Oak, Thomas Edison have a good reputation but still I’m kind of confused cause my current unv doesn’t recognize a post-bac degree so if I graduate from Excelsior first I have apply to different university.
And btw can I dual enroll in two colleges ? (I emailed my unv and waiting for their email)
