Exchange Ivy League?

I am from Sweden, and going to the UK to start my BA in creative writing this September. One of the universities I’ve been looking at boasted a possible one-year exchange at Yale university, which I thought sounded like a fantastic opportunity! After a bit more research though, it turns out that the Yale exchange is only available to PhD students, and while I am considering getting a PhD I will most likely not be doing so at the same university where I get my BA. And either way that would be quite far in the future.

However, now I have really become fond of the idea of doing a year in an Ivy League university. So what I am wondering is whether there are exchange programs available outside of the ones offered through school partnerships. Would it be possible for me to study one year at a university of my choice, provided they accept me of course?

The Ivy League is a sports conference. There are plenty of other universities that can give you the opportunity to study for a year in the U.S.

For the Ivy League, Penn is the only school that I am aware that you can study without an existing partnership set up.

Thank you, I found similar programs at Yale and Harvard as well. :)
