Exchange Programs: How Do They Work?

I recently discovered that my school is a member of the Global Engineering Education Exchange Program. Since I am a resident of Hong Kong and have lots of family in the area, I am interested in studying abroad for a semester at Hong Kong University. However, I know that Hong Kong University is one of the world’s best universities. How good will my grades have to be to be able to enter as an exchange student? Basically, how do exchange programs work?

Thanks!

I know for Syracuse, u apply to the study abroad program and get accepted based on minimum GPA requirements (3.0-3.2?) and space. I myself am interested in studying abroad in Hong Kong. SU offers a joint program with City U but I’m sure Clemson’s connections with HKU are similar with similar admissions criteria. Glad I could help :p
