Hey,
I’m an exchange student who will be studying at your university for one semester [fall semester - 2016].
I have some Q’s in my mind that I hope you can answer …
1- Is difficult to get good grades at Lehigh?
My GPA is good “3.4”, but I mean how hard is it to get “C” for example?
2- Is it fun?
I will be there for only one semester and I really want to have good times…
3- For an Exchange student, do you have any advice that could be helpful?
Thanks…
Hi BinFahad,
You will have a fantastic time at Lehigh! The fall semester is the best because of highlight of the social scense is the Lehigh/Lafayette game. Such a classic American college experience Here is the history:

You can go on Youtube and watch all sorts of videos about the game.
I just posted on another thread about this but you should it. It shows you the students and gives a great little tour of the school.

There are quite a few other videos you can watch too.
My son was not the hardest working student in high school. He had to start working hard once he got to Lehigh. There are lots of study group available for classes. If you need extra help you can always ask for help with the teacher’s assistant or the professor. There will be posted office hours so you will know when you can go get help. If you are prepared to work hard from the beginning you will be fine! Really. Just be willing to work really hard if you need to.
As an exchange student I would recommend you join some clubs so you will automatically be part of some social groups. Here is the list of over 150 clubs offered at Lehigh
https://lehigh.collegiatelink.net/organizations
As soon as the fall semester starts there will be an event where all the clubs gather and you can walk around and meet the kids, ask questions, and sign up for clubs. Maybe you should sign up for more than you you would want and then you can feel out which clubs you really want to spend time on.
Also, just 2 blocks from the bookstore is the bus station. You can easily catch a bus and travel to New York City and/or Washington DC for a weekend.
Also, please remember everyone associated with Lehigh would be willing to help you if you needed it. Reach out and let someone know if you have questions or heed help. We were so impressed with how everyone was always willing to help us.
If you have more questions or concerns just let us know! Welcome to Lehigh!
