<p>Mackie…surely those going to NYU (or to any college for that matter) are excited. My guess is that some posters who come to CC tend to stop posting after their admissions process ends. Some stay on but many discontinue participating after acceptance. Also, some of the posters on this particular CC forum (the MT Forum) are parents, not students. Certain forums on CC attract parents and some forums are primarily students. The MT Forum is mixed. </p>
<p>If you go to the final decisions thread, you can locate other incoming Tischies and contact them. Some folks on that list are parents, however. </p>
<p>Usually, facebook has groups for incoming students to particular schools. </p>
<p>Anyway, I’m excited for ya!</p>
<p>I would think people are excited. My son certainly is. </p>
<p>I’ve really been struck by how these threads dried up after April. Decisions out…up or down…time to move on. Also time to get ready for high school graduation, which is still a pretty big deal, even these days.</p>
