My D just called to tell me she turned in her senior thesis!
( she is a senior @ Reed College- all seniors must complete a year long thesis project- and defend their education through an oral exam with professors of their choosing )
now she can celebrate at Renn Fayre :)

Also- I just got in the mail the BRAND NEW Pearl Jam CD that won’t be officially released till Tuesday!

neato-jet!
yes it is sad that now she is a grownup- but I am so happy for her
( so if I didn’t graduate from college- does that mean I don’t have to be a grownup?)

“( so if I didn’t graduate from college- does that mean I don’t have to be a grownup?)”

Adult communities begin at age 55, so if you aren’t, you’re a pre-adult. Actually, we are all still children until our kids are grown. Then we are evolutionary toast! (and if male, have a habit of starting wars in strange, often very hot, places.)

BRAVO to your daughter! What an accomplishment! What a relief! Time to celebrate! Your D has come a long way through various trials and tribulations and she has triumphed. You ought to be so proud. I am excited for you ;).

Go to Sinner’s Alley and have one on the CC crowd :p

Congratulations to your daughter and to you! What a great accomplishment for both of you!

I’m sure there’s a twinge knowing that your little girl isn’t so little anymore, but rest assured that you’ll always be “mommie” to her, if not in her outward behavior, no doubt in her heart…for always! :)

Congratulations to your daughter - getting the senior thesis done is a huge accomplishment. I hope she has a great time at the thesis parade and the rest of Renn Fayre.
