is there a place to list extra curriculums on the phillips exeter applications? is the pre-applications the only place you put it on? with the lines in the blue background

Yes, it’s covered in the pre-application. At least that’s the way it was a year ago. I, too, thought that the “pre-application” was in addition to the application. Hence the “pre” or “preliminary” designation. But it’s really the initial application submission. And they don’t cover much of anything you write there (other than your name) in subsequent materials…which, basically, is the essay section. If I had sat down and read through all the materials first, I wouldn’t have been surprised. And my son…he didn’t do that either.

There’s no real practical use to what follows, but I think this is a male/female thing. Men tend to take things as they get hit by them. Sending in the “pre-application” without first looking through the entire package would be an example. Women are, in my estimation, more likely to read through all the instructions and take it all in before plowing ahead. Guys forge on towards a solution…even if it might mean they will set out in the wrong direction. Women will take a deep breath, analyze things, and then act after formulating a solution.

so…??
only the pre application is the place you put it then.?
