Exeter On-Campus Interviews Question

When you schedule an on-campus interview, are you matched with a random interviewer from the admissions team? I noticed on their website that each member of the admissions team represented a specific number of states (i.e. “I represent Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, etc.,”). Does that mean if I am an applicant from say, Georgia (not my actual state), my interviewer would be the person who represents that state?

Let me know if I need to further clarify.

You would think the interviewer would be the one assigned to your geographic area. In practice, this is not always the case. It may be that each admissions person has a main area, and is backup for a couple others. I doubt you will be able to really know their inner workings.

I would hope for the person who represents your area, as they would be a better advocate for you. This would not be off-limits to ask when you arrange the interview.

The AOs are frequently traveling, so to provide convenience for families, interviews are probably done by whomever is available.

I’m pretty sure area representatives travels to the area they represent to interview for people who cannot visit, and when you do visit, you are assigned anyone who is available.
