I got into both schools and I know they’re very different from each other, but I want some outside opinions on which is better, and why. Thanks!

There’s no “better” - they’re just very, very different! To thrive at Exeter, you have to be really independent . . . and willing to take responsibility for everything you do. There’ll be no hand holding. At Middlesex, you’ll get more support and supervision. So, it’s very much a personal thing . . . if “sink or swim” is your style, Exeter will work out great for you. If you’d like to know that the teachers are looking out for you, and really have your back, then Middlesex might be a better fit.

If you can’t attend revisit days, you should contact the admissions offices at both schools and ask them to put you in touch with current students, so you can find out what it’s really like to be a student at each of the schools.

Congratulations . . . and good luck!!!

Think of it as secondary school versus college. Really…it’s that different. Go to both revisit days-- you will know very quickly which is correct for you.

Mx enrollment - 375, Exeter enrollment - ~1000. Those numbers will explain how different both schools are in the community they create.
I think Mx provides a pretty good balance between academics, athletics and the arts. However if you are interested primarily in academics than Exeter might be a better option.
