Exeter vs Westminster School?

Can anyone give me pros and cons of each?
I know a lot about Exeter but not much about Westminster

I’ve heard Westminster is really bad about connecting with parents.
But exeter seems to have an air of constant sobriety (read:somber, stressed)
westminster has a plethora of schools surrounding it
exeter is close to the beach!
exeter seems to be a better quality institution overall(imo)

westminster is a big jock school or at least thats its rep

They are two different types of schools:

Westminster:
Once of the Smallest School in the east cost
Has one of the highest average SAT scores. Most successful in turning kids around.
SAFE environment, school is hidden from the town. (Traffic doesn’t pass through school)
One of the best facilities I have seen
One of the most beautiful campuses
A little bit more strictures environment.
Lower diversity
Lower numbered of colored students.
Very hard to get FA or limited FA.
Hard to get in even if you have outstanding SSAT scores.
Cost of tuition much higher compared to Exeter.
Overall very good school.

Exeter:
One of the largest schools in US, Similar to Andover.
School is part of the Town Exeter. Traffic passes through school. Part of urban setting.
Less structured environments.
Good for very independent student who can live and take care of themselves on their own.
Academic competition is strong within the school.
Seem to have more Hype then Westminster.
Higher diversity
Higher colored students
Has one of the highest FA available.
Easy to get FA.
Is one of the lowest tuition cost.

It all depends of what you are looking for in school. What fits you better and where you will be most happy and comfortable?

westminsters small community can bring the whole school together as one, as exeter has a very large community it is hard to bring the whole school together

Not necessarily if you mean that as ‘together-ness’ b/c they are very ‘together’.
If you mean that as gathering in one place- have you heard of assembly?

Have you visited each? Are you accepted at both?
If so, go to the re-visit days. You’ll get the feel.

Size does not necessarily mean “community” and “together” but Westminster certainly DOES have a very “together” feel and is very community oriented.

While Westy does have good athletics, I would not call it a “jock” school. It is “traditional” and more formal than some. (I don’t know anything really about Exeter).

However, just the simple size of the schools alone makes them very different in my opinion.

No I am attending Exeter in the fall and I had a friend go to Westminster last year so I was just curious about them(:

I know I’m going to get shot down for this but…
Exeter - has one of the strongest college matriculation histories.
Just ONE thing to consider, of course…
