So i hear that audit has the better exit opps from the big 4, but how are they for someone with tax experience? Is it possible to become a financial analyst or equity research position (I want to get my CFA as well) after getting my CPA in tax?

I spoke to a friend that recently got a position in equity research @ BB, he told me it is a very selective group (Small). It is very hard to get into for an undergrad, even one from an IVY league. He said it’s common for MBA to get into the equity research position. So back to your question, maybe a top 15 MBA after your tax experience would be recommended. Of course almost anything is possible with the correct contacts, and if you know what you are doing and can market that in your interview.
