Started my second semester of Sophomore year a few weeks ago. By May, I should have completed enough credits for a minor in CompSci. My major is Financial Mathematics. Would it be worthwhile to expand my CompSci minor for double major which means I will be graduating in 5 years instead of 4? I pay about $17k/year average for tuition and board(some of it is covered by loans, grants, scholarships). I go to a decent school:UMich-AA(LSA).

Will the grants and scholarships be extended to the extra semester(s)?

How many additional courses/credits would you need to complete the major, and can you squeeze them into your schedule with zero or one extra semester instead of two?

You go to an excellent school, Forever. What are your plans for the future? It could make more sense to get a masters degree in financial math/actuarial science with your 5th year depending on your plans.
