I have had prior experience with 3 of these years and the decisions were released just prior to 4:00…most likely in order to give the admissions department time to evacuate before the angry phone calls start pouring in.
Your chart appears pretty accurate…I would put my money on Tuesday just because I don’t think Admissions is in any rush…if it goes past then it’s probably because there were more ED applicants than expected.
Tuesday does seem like the highest probability as the 15th is the most popular date. It hasn’t ever been the 14th, so maintaining Monday for a third straight year is not likely. I guess we can hope for a return to the 12th!
Also, they tweeted on December 8th, in response to a user who asked when the decisions will be posted “We’ll let you know when decisions are posted on the Portal! It will be mid to late December. Thanks!”
I don’t know how many days this committee usually meets, but it’s been (as of December 11th) 4 days since the first committee meeting, so maybe early/mid next week?
I think the only purpose of this email was to cause even more stress and anxiety among the ED1 applicants. They already advised everyone decisions would be made mid-December. My odds on favorite time remains Tuesday @ 3:55 P.M.
@WaitingDad haha, I’m hoping for a Saturday 12th @ 3:55 surprise! (They have been released on Saturday the 12th before). But Tuesday is fine. Anything after that will have me very stressed.
