Expecting suspension Due to Academic Dishonesty

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I was caught in academic dishonesty, going for honor council in new days. I am expecting a suspension. I am an international grad student in final semester. Can anyone please tell the possible thing that can happen? </p>

<p>Will they give me suspension effective this semester or they will hold my graduation?
I will be completing all the courses by end of may 2011. Can I be eligible for OPT(work)? or should I leave to my country?</p>

<p>It depends on where you are attending, and the extent of the dishonesty/length of time you were dishonest. If it is severe, and has been going on for a long time (all of your work has been a lie) they are going to want you out asap, no matter where you are going.</p>

<p>If it was a momentary lapse in judgement due to stress, and isn’t something that your entire education has hinged upon, the outcome may be different.</p>
