for failing drug test. How should I handle this… should I try and hide it or be honest to florida?

Since admissions are always pending a final transcript, I don’t think you have any option but to be honest. They’re really serious about getting that final transcript.

I think that you have no choice but to be honest. It will come out sooner or later.

If I were you I would contact them directly and express great remorse.

and hopefully learned an important lesson…

IMHO, I would wait for the whole situation to play out. Make an appointment with a parent to talk to whoever is in charge of the testing at your hs. If by chance there is an error, mistake, whatever, wait until it is on your permanent record before you contact UF. Things happen. Just saying…

No offense, but you’re screwed. In order to matriculate into UF, you have to GRADUATE and get that final transcript. If you’re expelled, you can’t graduate. There’s no way around it, you have to tell them, unless you can get into some other school that will take you half way through your senior year. If you can find a way to graduate, then you may be able to get away with it. But, UF still may find out about the drug test and will take away your acceptance. Sorry.

To finish your senior year out you might want to consider FLVS [Florida Virtual school], so another school doesn’t have to take you necessarily. Don’t know if that’s an option for you but, man…a drug test is one of the easiest to pass - just don’t do them!! XD

I was not expelled on record. Instead they said I withdrew from School, that’s all. Im already enrolled in another public school in the district. Is this better for me?

If the actual school already have all your grades from the old school then I guess there is no problem.

well if they said you withdrew, then there isn’t any problem. It seems as if they made the whole drug thing go away. So, i think you’re good as long as you don’t have to sign anything that says you haven’t been disciplined or anything for UF.

Mikey, I think that’s a LOT better.

I retract what I said earlier. I don’t think that I would say anything about it unless it comes up.

On paper it probably looks like you just left your old school for some reason (and there could be many) and ended up some place else.
