Experience at IU

Hi, I am a high school senior interested in IU for nursing school. I wanted to know if students and alumni thought of their experience at the university. Also, what is Jewish life like on campus?
I am out of state and really far, so I probably won’t end up visiting. Thank you!

It is a pretty big gamble to come to IUB for nursing. They admit only 60 students per year to the BSN program out of about 300 applicants. Another 100 or so theoretically can attend the IUPUI and IUPU-Columbus BSN programs from applicant pools from these schools and IUB that total 500-600 per year, but, in practice, “In recent years all available spots in the nursing program on the Bloomington and IUPUI campuses have been filled by” IUB freshmen applicants at IUB and IUPUI applicants at IUPUI. So, if you came to IUB and were not one of the sixty selected for IUB School of Nursing, you would probably not be able to get into IUPUI BSN program, per the website. Also, the college experience will be far different at IUPUI and IUPU-Columbus from IUB.

More admissions info and a list of required classes can be found at this webpage.
