Experience with Cross Enrollment at cc and UC?

Has anyone participated in such a program? I am considering this so that I may begin my upper division courses early. With a minimum of 6 units at your cc, you can enroll in individual UC classes.

[How to Enroll in Individual Classes (Community College and CSU Students)](How to Enroll in Individual Classes (Community College and CSU Students))

Does anyone have experience with this program or any insight?

The site states this too:

Special Note for Potential Transfer Students:
California community college (CCC) students should be advised that in order to maintain your standing as a CCC student for UCSD admissions purposes, you must have 30 out of your last 40 semester units at a CCC and you must be enrolled for at least two regular terms at a CCC immediately prior to enrolling at UCSD.

I’m really hoping I can just take the 6 cc units and the 1 UC course each semester before transfering.
