<p>Has anyone used the advertised “no roaming” charge from T-Mobile. While my tools are most iPhone/iPad and ATT centric, I have often used a small MIFI router abroad with a local SIM card, In several countries, I have bought 2 Gig of data for about 20 dollars. In Mexico, I have free roaming for voice. Texts are pretty cheap but data is very expensive as ATT shows no signs of lowering the roaming charges. The local providers on a prepay system are not working that well.</p>
<p>I am seriously looking at buying this T-Mobile device and load with it the 3 Gig data. My expectation is that it work pretty well in the US and probably pretty well in the country that have fast networks. </p>

<p>My main hesitation is that there might be a slew of hidden charges that are not advertised. Anyone here to dismiss my fears? By the way, I doubt that I will switch from ATT for our basis service as I have a grandfathered family plan that covers North America. </p>
