Experiences

I am not as high caliber as many of the Ivy League bound students and graduates on this forum so I don’t know how much feedback I’ll get but it’s worth a try. My 5 colleges that I will be applying to this fall are Messiah College, Grove City College, John Carroll University, Westminster College ¶, and Penn State-University Park. I wanted people to share their experiences at any of these schools if they are current students or alums. Also, if you know someone who went to one of these schools, could you share with me what they thought about it? I’m trying to know what I should expect.

They are very different schools you have considering. Penn State strikes me as the most different out of all of the ones you have chosen. I know a little bit about it as I have had friends and teachers that attended. It is a very large school with alot of school spirit. Most people who go there love it as there are alot of ways to get involved and do amazing things. If going into business, I’ve heard the alumni connections are fantastic. However, there is a certain amount of emphasis on sports culture, and partying plays a large role on campus. If you are not comfortable with either of those, you may find others like you on campus, but it will play a certain role in your surroundings. Visiting definitely helps in determining your fit to any of these schools
