Experiential learning in Newhouse

So i love almost everything about Cuse, the one exception being its location in the tundra. I understand that the Newhouse name offers a ton of opportunities for jobs after graduation and internships during the summer, but i was wondering what opportunities exist during the school year. Just to be clear, i dont doubt they’ll prepare me for a career through a hands on teaching philosophy, however I really wanted something compelling other than the Newhouse name on my resume when I graduate.
So far all I’ve found was Hill Communications, which seems cool, and id love more information about how involved students are, what opportunities they have within it, and what kind of clientele they serve (like do they handle Non profits or anything/anyone in government).

A little about me: im dual enrolled in PR at Newhouse and Poli Sci.

When it comes to Syracuse, there just isn’t much around. There are a ton of opportunities, but not many that exist during school because you will have to travel a bit. Many students at Syracuse intern out of state or closer to Buffalo or Albany during the summer. The good news is that you’re in Newhouse. Many students don’t know how much of a luxury that is. It’s by far the most competitive school at SU and one of the most competitive in the country when it comes to that field. The name Newhouse will get you places you can’t even imagine, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I grew up in Syracuse and have many family members in the area, and they all know about Newhouse. It’s known globally. Quite a few international students are enrolled there as well. It truly is a great opportunity.
