Explanatory Note To Admissions?

<p>I was wondering whether or not I should send an explanatory note about my first semester grades, and how I should do it. I’m probably going to end up with 4 A’s (AP Statistics, Honors Forensics, AP Environmental Science, Personal Finance), 2 B’s (AP English Lit, Honors Molecular Biology) and a C (AP Physics). I applied ED to Dartmouth and got deferred. They said the midyear report would be really important. I was also wondering if I should send a note to all the colleges I applied to, and how I would go about doing that.</p>

<p>I have a decent reason for my grades, but I’d rather not share it on CC :).</p>

<p>If you have a decent reason, share it with the colleges. You can e-mail it. Even better would be if your GC included the reason with your midyear report.</p>
