<p>The NMF award at many colleges, such as USC, is $1000/ year. It is paid for by the sponsoring college. The one time $2500 award is only given to select NMF’s who are not matriculating at a college that sponsors NMF’s . Those one time scholarships are paid for with NMF membership fees- not by corporate or college sponsors.</p>
<p>Making matters a little more confusing to explain, USC awards several smaller renewable scholarships that may come as a real surprise. My older son also receives a $2500/year University Scholarship on top of the Trustee, which was beyond generous.</p>
