expressing interest after applying?

i was just notified that georgetown is visiting my school tomorrow; i’ve already applied EA and know everything i need to about the school, so it it worth missing class to go? i’ve expressed interest by visiting the campus, so is that enough or should i go to the meeting too? will it make a difference at this point?

Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. But it definitely won’t if you don’t go.

do you mean that it won’t negatively affect me if i don’t go? i have a feeling it’ll be fine if i don’t go, i guess at this point i’m wondering if there’s any benefit to it since i don’t really like missing calc…

Missing one class period won’t harm you. But then again, college data.com states that Georgetown doesn’t consider “level of applicant’s interest.”

ok thanks  i agree that missing a class period wouldn’t hurt me that much and would be totally worth it if it helped my chances for college. however, since it seems like it wouldn’t make a difference i think i’ll just go to class.

You’ve applied EA. There’s nothing more you can do to express interest than this.

Why not? The more interest you can show, the better. Talk to the rep, give your name, tell him/her you applied EA. Promote yourself!
