- Attend a CC near your home. Retake any class you got a C,D, F in.
- Make an appointment with tutors right away, well before any hint of trouble and make sure with their help that you understand the material. Go to office hours every week, rotating the subjects. To have something to discuss, write in your notebooks’ margins questions that you have about the reading/exercises/problem sets/lectures. Write these down as soon as the question is rides in your head. Handwrite in notebooks to keep all notes together and to use your muscles’ kinetic memory help your actual memory.
- Do not overload. If you work 20hours+, take a maximum of two classes. Maximum 3 if you work 15-19 hours. 4 classes if you work 10-14 hours a week. See how you can handle both job and classes before you increase the number of credits you’re taking.
You CAN get into FIT but you’ll have to be methdicl about it.
