What is extended analogy? Could someone give an example?

Do you mean extended metaphor or extended analogy?

I think [s]he means an extended analogy.
Extended analogy basically means this, if I am correct.
Suppose that A is compared with B. Also, suppose that B is compared with C.
Then, A is comparable with C.

What about extended metaphor?

An extended metaphor literally means a metaphor developed throughout a story (usu. in a poem). I didn’t see an extended metaphor on the practice tests that I’ve taken, but knowing this term could help you in AP Literature class, if you take it.

Another name for an extended metaphor is allegory, if you’ve heard of or read an allegory. A parable could also be considered an extended metaphor.
