Well, seeing as it hardly ever snows in Athens, and when it does people act like the sky is falling, I’m not sure if anyone will know how to answer this… But does UGA or their accrediting body have rules about extending the semester if a certain number of days are missed?
I live off campus, have been getting around pretty darn well the past few days, and find it outrageous that UGA cancelled school for the third day in a row as of 11:30 am yesterday, without even any ‘wait and see’ to it. Extending dates will severely screw up some travel plans and my own wedding plans so I am kinda fretting at this point. Up north I know if we missed more than 3 days (happened once in 3 years of snowy winters) of college classes it messed up our hours per credit requirement and we’d have to add extra class time or class meeting days: but any insight on UGA doings for this?
