I was admitted to UNC and i’m really interested in participating in debates and acting in plays…so is there a cool scene of that at UNC?

and muns as well…heh

Sorry can’t help you much–but I’ll bump you again.

All I know about is that my son took a Drama class last semester. They were required to attend several plays and write critiques. Since Drama is not his thing, he was dreading it. However, he found that he enjoyed the productions very much–some of them were outside companies but many were UNC productions.

actually i found it! heh. there are clubs dedicated to it…
no issues. hanks.

My son participates in MUN and debating. Hope you two meet in school.

If your interested in Debate check out DI-PHI, as I understand the oldest Student group at UNC. While not competive debate like high school, they have weekly debates on a wide range of topics as well regular social events. S met many of his friends through this organization. They have even done events with debate and literary societies from UGA and UVA. It is a great connection to the heritage and history of UNC. Here’s the link for more info.

Di Phi is really cool, and our mock trial team kicks serious butt (it goes to nationals every year).

I know we’ve got a few drama groups, the one I’m involved in is called Pauper Players, which is totally student led and puts on about four shows a year. It’s not as funded or popular as the Carolina Playmakers, but I’ve been really happy with them. I was in the orchestra pit for the Secret Garden and will be in a production coming up… all the drama-kids seem happy with it. That’s all the info I really have!

definately will be joning those…thanks!
