Extra Cirriculars

Hello!

Would love any insight you guys could offer me. I really want to study engineering at one of the top universities, (Stanford, Berkeley, UC Boulder Univeristy Of Washington seattle) (in that order). My only problem is that almost all of my ECs are for spanish. I’ve placed first in the state of Georgia for National spanish exam, got nominated for, won county and am currently competing in state to be able to attend my Governor’s honors program in Spanish this summer, Won various school awards for Spanish, have great relationship with the foreign language department, started my own service based club with a Spanish teacher, member of Spanish club and national Spanish honor society, etc… however ever since I was in 7th grade I’ve wanted to study aerospace engineering. My only problem is that I don’t have a lot of stem ECs. I’ve taken most AP stem classes at my school like AP calc, Chem and physics and got high As, I’m a member of national math honor society and I tutor math every week and soon possibly Physics. I also have been a member of the technology student association. However I want to add to that list so I can stand out as a stem applicant. Specifically with aerospace. So I had two ideas:

Flight School:
I have 6 logged hours in a Cessna 172 G1000 during 9th grade but I stopped because of financial limitations. However that is no longer an issue and I could reasonably get my pilots liscence before or shortly after college apps are due.

Virtual Airline:
This is also something I did in 8th and 9th grade. It’s basically a community of aviation enthusiasts who can discuss aviation, fly in simulators together, etc… I started one with over 200 members around the world. To run one, typically you have to create and maintain a website, run PHP based software, build relationships with people around he world, etc…
It’s kind of like running a mini airline. I know it’s a weird concept but Wikipedia could probably explain it better than I can. I’m really considering doing his again because it’s something unique related to what I’m interested in.

What do you guys think? Would these be worth my time in the grand scheme of things? I also have other Officer position in service based clubs and close to 100 service hours.

Thanks!
(I should note that I’m currently in 11th grade and my SAT (taking again) is a 1480.)

you should understand that unless you are a CA resident there is not going to be any financial aid available for you at Berkeley. So unless your family circumstances mean price doesn’t matter then that could be an issue…

I’m fortunate enough to where price will not be a huge issue for me and my family, but this is more of a general question rather then which school is right for me
