I’d like to get a masters in computer science, but I’m graduating my undergrad in May and am missing some of the core classes (computer architecture and theory of computing) needed by some of the schools I’d apply to. Let’s assume my CC doesn’t have the necessary equivalents, because I’ve looked at their fall course catalog and didn’t see anything. What can I do to get these done, preferably at a reasonable cost?

You can take them at your local state university. That’s the cheapest option after community college.

You can also get a job that has a tuition assistance or tuition remission benefits program so that some or all of your tuition costs will be paid for by your employer.

The third option would be to apply to graduate school anyway in hopes that they will allow you to make up your deficiencies in the first semester of your graduate program.
