Does taking classes online on top of a regular schedule during the school year look impressive to colleges? I want to take physics over the Summer online and I’m just curious of how that will look or if it won’t matter at all. Also when I finish high school I will have taken 6 science classes (chem h,bio h, ap bio, AP Chem, anatomy h, and physics h) , does that look impressive???
There is no reason to pile on extra classes on top of your regular schoolwork. You should be focusing on those classes so that you can earn good grades in them and get good letters of recommendation from your teachers. You also need time to participate in the ECs that you like, and you even need time to just live your life.
If you have nothing else to do in the summer - like a job or a full-time volunteer gig - then it can make sense to take classes that you otherwise can’t squeeze in during the school year. But again you do need to do more than just schoolwork, and a paying job to help make money to cover college expenses - and gain useful work experience so your next job can be a better one - is a good thing to think about.
