So I have several scholarship deadlines coming up over the next two months. A lot of them say that the guidelines they use include looking at academics as well as extra curricular activities and community involvement.

Would it be better for all of my extra curricular activities to be related to one thing such as science? OR would it be better for me to show that I am a diverse person and include my involvement with music and environment and other things.

I guess this question applies to what would be better to do on the extra curricular section on my college application as well. Is the answer to the above question different when applying to colleges rather than applying for scholarships.
