Extra Supplement?

If we didn’t get this, does it mean we are a clear reject, or at the very least, on the lower side of maybe?

Also, does anyone know the average stats of those admitted from out of state?

Thanks for the help!

The supplemental requests do not all come out on one day, they dribble out as the applications are read, rated and those that fall into the few percent getting augmented review (the official term for the process when they issue a supplemental request) will be notified on MyBerkeleyApp at that time. Keep logging in every few days. Most accepts and most rejects do not get the requests - therefore absence of a request tells you nothing unless you thought you had an amazingly compelling achievement/talent but they ignored it.

Thanks for the information!

Also, by any chance, would you know if being a Siemens Regional Finalist (not national) counts as an amazingly compelling achievement?

I found out I was an Intel National STS Semi-finalist after I put in my application, and I mailed all my colleges a 1 page letter summarizing my projects and talking about my research experience.

I don’t know whether or not Berkeley actually took my award into consideration, but it certainly didn’t hurt me seeing I’m here now. Definitely inform all your colleges if you win awards like Siemens or Intel (regardless of whether or not Berkeley says they like updates), it actually helped move one of my other ED deferrals into an acceptance.

Congrats on your award!
