Extracurricular for International Student

Hello everyone, I am an International Student and I have problems in completing the common application activities fields. I do not know if contests(I won prizes at robotics contests, should those be written in robotics filed) and medals won should be written there. Moreover where should I write about internships. Also if I did volunteering for the Government and not for humanity causes, is it bad?
If I work out and go to gym should I write it at the athletics varsity? What kind of activities should be written at academics?
Two more question, if I was the team leader of a team who won a scientific project, where can I add this?(we worked 1-2 hours a day for 5 months at our scientific project and won the first prize), the second question: If I attended a leadership summer camp with students from Europe can I write at foreign exchange?

If I want to attend Brown do you think that a Gold medal at an International Olympiad of Inventions, first prize at a contest organised by NASA and NSS, a GPA 9.5 out of 10 ( I think that 3.8 out of 4), I didn’t take the sat but I hope to get 2000-2100, 750 physics and 800 mathematics, are enough? If not should I consider schools such as Vassar, Brandeis, Union, Connecticut?

I would say put everything that you listed down except for the "working out in the gym"lol

When are you applying?

And you completely misunderstand what varsity athletics are. Varsity athletics are playing for your school and traveling to play other schools, in a formal league.

Most schools who care about grades and test scores to a high degree and who want international students will have people on their staff to give them insight into students from various countries. If you have more opportunity to volunteer for civic (government) causes, that is likely because you were able to.

If you did not take the SAT yet, and you are applying for entrance in September 2015, it will be hard for anyone to answer your question. But 2000-2100 is rather low for the SAT for any Ivy. Take the SAT as soon as possible if you can.

Oh I see, you are right, I didn’t know the meaning of varsity.
I am applying for entrance in September 2015, I hope to score better, but I’m not very good at critical reading, I’ll try to improve it in the next couple of months so wish me good luck.
But I haven’t received an accurate answer, where should my contests be written, someone told me in the honors and awards, but actually the work and preparation for the contests was for me an activity. So what are you recommending me?
